It's All About Me

I know, I know...I said I'd not use this blog for flagrant and obvious self-promotion. So I lied. But you have to admit I've done pretty good so far!

So today I found out that my teen novel, The Ring, has been nominated for the American Library Association's Rainbow Project. It's a real honor! To find out more about it, click on this link

I also had the pleasure of being interviewed by a great blogger, Marshal Zeringue. He has a wonderful blog spot called America Reads. Great place to go to find out not only good books but what you're favorite authors (and their dogs!) are reading! link

  1. I loved I Know This Much is True by Lamb. Another novel on the same topic that I loved was 72 Hour Hold by Bebe Moore Campbell.

Much congrats on the nod. Do you have to submit your book for condsideration? Or does the panel find it on their own.

  2. I loved that book too. I will say that The Hour I First Believed is not quite as good a book (IMHO). It's a sprawling, rather messy novel. But it's still worth the ride.

As far as the nomination, someone from the committee picked up an ARC of The Ring when my editor was at ALA last summer. The day before she left, the person came back and said they really liked it and planned on nominating it for The Rainbow Project. Same thing happened with The Amelia Bloomer Project. Gotta love those librarians!
